2009 Scholarship Round

The 2009 Scholarship Round is now open for applications.

We will be offering both Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) and Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarships (DUPRS) in the upcoming round.

Applicants must be applying for one of three higher degrees by research:  Masters by Research, Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Psychology (Higher degrees by research does NOT include the Doctor of Business Administration). Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents and must have achieved a first class Honours degree or equivalent.

The closing date for applications is 5pm, Friday 31 October 2008.

Successful applicants will be notified by mail mid December and will be required to commence candidature by 31 March 2009.

Further information can be found at Information for Australian citizens or permanent residents.

The application form and referee reports can be found at HDR Forms and Guidelines. Only one application needs to be lodged to be considered for both an APA and DUPR scholarship.

Current candidates at Deakin University who wish to be considered in this round are not required to resubmit the application form. Simply e-mail research-scholarships@deakin.edu.au stating that you wish to be included in the round and attach any additional information you would like added to your application.

Please note that progress during candidature does not constitute equivalence to first class Honours, however output such as refereed publication could form the basis of a case for equivalency.
